The First United Methodist Church offers many programs for children and youth. Our goal is to create a warm and loving environment for children to
grow closer to the Lord.
Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry offers Bible studies on Wednesday and Sunday nights for youth, 5th-12th grades.
Wednesday night programs include: Bible Study: 6-6:45 P.M.
Sunday night activities include: Supper: 5-5:50 P.M. Bible Study: 5:30-6:30 P.M.
Sunday Summer Swimming: 5-7:00 P.M.
Retreats and mission trips are offered throughout the year such as: Senior Ski Trip to Lake Junaluska, NC, 7th & 8th grade Beach Retreat and Summer
Mission Trip for mid-high and senior high students.
Children's Ministry
The children, Pre-K - 4th grade, meet on Wednesday and Sunday nights. They enjoy Bible stories, games, recreational activities, art projects, and
music.
Wednesday night children activities are from 6:00-6:45 P.M.
Sunday night is Kid-mo from 5:00-6:00 P.M. This program uses video clips, games, music and most importantly, the Bible, to teach children how to live
a godly life. Kids will find themselves on an unforgettable journey to live out God's word.
The Boy Scouts of America
We sponsor BSA Troop 42 and provide the facilities for them to meet. Many of their leaders come from within our church membership.
